Artist Statement

Jamie Dolinko invitePresently I live in a glass and concrete tower, in a densely populated neighborhood, in a modern metropolitan city. My living room has transparent glass walls facing two high-rise buildings. They receive southern exposure all day long, lighting up the thirty eight suites that face me like the back of a doll house. Land, sky, and horizon are supplanted by architecture, yet shifting physical conditions, both inside and out, mean palette and view are constantly changing. It is not the intention of these photos to be incriminating or intrusive, rather they are a study of witnessing. The camera is not a benign apparatus, meant just for looking through, it's primary function implies application. With privacy becoming a currency of the future, I challenge boundaries where the unknown subject still intrigues.
