FRAME
You know what really brings out Rosie's
copy is the old original frame.
I think so. I don't know what to do
with the original since it was displaced from it's frame. I want
to preserve the framing choices that were made.
I like what you've done.
It's a good thing I didn't throw it
out. I was going to.
Right.
Well, I have the original frame that
it was hung in.
Oh, you do!
I have the frame that it hung in in
Grandma's parlor.
That would be interesting. So did you
frame your picture with it?
I framed the one Rosie Feist did for
me, not the one I did myself.
Who's Rosie Feist?
Well, a friend of mine in Edmonton.
She painted a copy of it.
That white frame is the frame the picture
was in in the parlor.
Oh.
So the original would look odd if it's
put back into a freshly painted frame.
FAME
Someday you're going to be a famous
artist.
They're all asking me when I'm going
to do one. Sometime I'd like to do one.
Oh, sure. Well, I won't be ready for
awhile. After making the proposal I'll bring the original back
to you.
Sometime.
By then you'll have one of Mom's to
display too.
Oh, yes.
And then you'll be a famous artist
too. [Laughter]
I am already.
